Did you know that the Atacama desert is the driest place in the world? If your hair is as dry as this desert then here are the top 3 L’Oreal Paris hair products you must try to get soft hair.
Whenever I start slipping and stop taking care of my hair, my hair starts to get dull, flat, and lifeless. I don’t stress too much about it since I have 3 products that always transform my hair, literally as soon as my hair is dry after I shower.
I have been using these products for a few years now so continue reading to find out why I love them and why you should too. No, this is not a sponsored post, I am just a huge fan of their hair products.
How to get soft hair step #1: L’Oréal hair mask
The very first thing I do when my hair is dull, dry and lifeless is apply a hair mask to bring it back to life. There are two that I actually enjoy, but this is L’Oréal’s day, so I will talk about this one only. I think about it as a facelift but for my hair.
The hair mask I use is L’Oréal Elvive Total repair extreme emergency recovery mask. Trust me, the results are extreme, at least for me anyway. It claims to “Repair the hair fiber of extremely damaged, sensitized hair” and “Rapid fiber renewal and repair.”
Well let me tell you, my hair was feeling kinda rough around the ends but there weren’t many split ends because I follow these steps right here. They were just rough I am not sure why. I went in the shower and applied this hair mask from the midshaft down for about 5 minutes.
L’Oreal Paris hair mask magical ingredients
This hair mask has wheat protein and ceramide. What wheat protein does is attract and retains moisture in the hair. This gives your hair added body, fullness, and lift.
The Wheat protein has a low molecular weight so it can easily penetrate your hair and strengthen it according to softerhair.com. If your hair is really damaged, dyed, fine, or porous, this ingredient will work wonders on your hair.
The other wonderful ingredient it contains is ceramide. Ceramide is really good at keeping your cuticle flat and your hair smooth. This helps explain why my dry ends are suddenly and magically restored.
Ceramides are also known to retain the moisture in your hair ( = soft hair) and strengthens your hair. If you are someone that color treats their hair or applies chemicals like relaxers then meet your new best friend, Ceramide.
It also contains cetearyl alcohol, don’t be alarmed it is not as drying as other alcohols. Basically its an emulsifier since it keeps the oil and liquid stay together. If you are worried your hair will frizz up because of the alcohol, I haven’t found that to be the case. If you experience frizzy hair this is what I do so my hair won’t get frizzy.
Whenever I notice my hair feel a little dry, rough, or not as bouncy, I instantly notice a difference when I use L’Oréal Paris hair mask. I am not being dramatic when I say I feel like I just got out of the salon.
How to get soft hair step #2: L’Oreal Paris Leave-in Conditioner
I have used a few leave-in conditioners in my life but none have made any noticeable difference. I 100% notice a difference when I do and don’t use the L’Oreal Paris leave-in conditioner.
My hair is much softer, it helps with preventing tangles and it just feels healthier. If you are new to leave-in conditioner then you must know a few things.
1. You should still conditioner your hair in the shower.
2. Apply leave in conditioner once you are out of the shower but before styling it
3. It remains on your hair until your next hair wash
If you experience frizzy hair or your hair is on the damaged side then leave-in conditioners are an absolute must in your hair care routine.
How to get shiny hair overnight: L’oreal Paris Extraordinary oil
This is the last step in my hair care routine. It adds so much natural shine to my hair that it brings my hair back to life. I apply the L’oreal Paris Extraordinary oil on my hair once my hair is nice and dry.
L’oreal Paris recommends pumping twice. I would say to split your hair in half and do half a pump. Then rub it on your hands and slowly shake your fingers in your hair to gradually introduce the oil to your hair. This will prevent from having a really oily spot.
It really depends on the length and thickness of your hair. My hair falls in the middle of my back and is semi-thick.
There are a few different ways you can apply L’Oreal Paris Elvive extraordinary oil. You can apply the oil right before you shower for “luxurious nourishment.” It can also be used “before styling to control & discipline hair” which I am not sure what that means.
You can also use it to polish strands for “no frizz and flyaway’s” which I do notice it makes a difference in reference to the frizz. Or as I apply it, once my hair is dry for “silky softness and luxurious shine,” which I can definitely attest to.
